Home Educator Days

Once a month on a Wednesday and Thursday (same session both days) join us to learn about local history, nature and the environment in this beautiful setting. Cross-curricular activities aimed at those aged between 7yrs-14yrs, 10am-12noon. £10 per child. Children must have an accompanying adult (free). Younger siblings welcome to join at half price but may not be able to do all of the activities depending on age and ability.

Outdoor Explorers

Our parent and toddle group exploring nature and the Priory Estate with a Level 3 Forest School Practitioner. Develop fine and gross motor skills through play and outdoor exploration. Use creative play and imagination in the mud kitchen and enjoy a selection of crafts and story time to develop language and interaction with others. A snack is provided as well as refreshments for the adults.

Uniformed Groups

We can create bespoke days for uniformed groups and their leaders hosting up to 100 children at a time providing appropriate ratios are met. A Saturday or Sunday can be booked and tailored to your requirements. Activities include map reading skills and climbing the tower to identify landmarks, understanding the need for clean water and creating water filters at our pond, and riding the tractor trailer.

Adult Groups

Tours and visits can be created for groups of adults to see the Estate, learn about the past and even have a go with activities like our Medieval Medicine Programme or learn about the 1582 Witch Trails that took place in the village. You will be able to use our Education Centre as a base and space to have refreshments.

Speaker

Education Centre staff are available to speak off site at community meetings such as Historical Society talks. This can be on a range of local history topics. Please phone or email for further information and availability.
